Defence & Security

Prepared and equipped to handle any situation.

Testing military equipment is essential to ensure its reliability, effectiveness, and safety in real-world conditions. It helps identify potential flaws or weaknesses, ensuring the equipment performs as expected in high-pressure scenarios. Rigorous testing ensures that personnel can operate the equipment safely, minimizing risks to both the operators and the mission.

Landmines are a part of modern day warfare and their impact lasts long after the war is over. In the early 2000’s, PAMI was contracted to engineer, fabricate and test a piece of equipment to detonate underground landmines. The team at PAMI used their collective agriculture experience and knowledge to re-think a tracked 4WD tractor. Here you will see that the cab of the original machine was completely removed and rotated 180 degrees. Complete steel encasement and additional safety features were installed to protect not only the user but the unit itself.

Simulating for real-world conditions.

Simulation is the process of creating a virtual or mathematical model of a real-world system, scenario, or process to study its behavior under different conditions. It allows users to test, analyze, and predict outcomes without the risks or costs associated with real-life experimentation. Our advanced simulation team uses the Altair Package and Siemens’ StarCCM+ Software to include simulation work in the realm of Discrete Element Method, Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid Structural Interactions, and Multi-Body Dynamics.

Design and build for durability.

Machines that are built for durability reduce the need for frequent repairs or replacements, saving both initial and ongoing costs for users and manufacturers. Over the machine’s lifetime, maintenance expenses are typically lower, resulting in long-term cost efficiency. Well-built machines function reliably over time, minimizing the chances of breakdowns. This increases user trust in the product, enhances safety, and reduces downtime in critical applications.

Test for functionality and performance.

If you’re going to to fail – fail fast and fail before it matters. Many products must adhere to safety regulations and standards. Testing ensures compliance with these regulations, reducing legal risks and liability for potential harm caused by faulty products. By testing products, you reduce the chances of customer complaints, returns, or negative reviews. High-quality, tested products build customer trust and loyalty, contributing to long-term success. Whether it’s Durability Testing, Tilt and Roll Over Stability Testing, Fallen Object Protective Structure, Head-to-head Evaluations, Rear Impact Guard Testing, Extreme Temperature Testing and more, PAMI is equipped to perform all types of functionality and performance testing.

  • Durability Testing
  • Fatigue and Structural Testing
