With these technologies, PAMI is able to digitally prototype a structure, bulk material, or fluid to analyze the performance of a particular product or system.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Project Management Team Lead, the Project Leaders provide a lead and technical role to manage and execute projects for clients. The Project Leader is responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget for the projects that they are assigned, while also contributing engineering skills during implementation. The main focus of this role is materials handling and value-added processing development. When project issues arise, Project Leaders will work with the Project Management Team Lead to proactively address and resolve the issues in a timely manner within the budget requirements to enable PAMI to be successful.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- General understanding of technical project work, with experience in applying these to the agriculture, mining, or transportation sectors.
- Provide leadership to projects involving materials handling equipment, agricultural product testing, and value-added processing development. strong business and people management skills and over 5 years of experience in project management.
- Provide expertise and leadership during projects by scheduling internal resources, preparing and managing budgets.
- As a functional manager, have a standard understanding of processes to resolve issues, motivate others and establish relevant key performance indicators.
- A champion of best people, practices, systems, and processes. Safety- and process-oriented, with the ability to apply and implement this in a project environment.
- Strong communication (written, oral, presentation) skills with the ability to effectively engage at a variety of management levels and with a range of audiences.
- Developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma (in Engineering, science, or other related discipline)
- P.Eng. designation preferred
- Project Management Professional designation is considered an asset
