PAMI Honoured to Receive Federal Investment to Advance Canada’s Defence Innovation Capacity
Humboldt, Saskatchewan – April 24, 2026 — Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) is pleased to be selected as a recipient of $3 million in funding through Prairies Economic Development Canada’s Regional Defence Investment Initiative (RDII), supporting the growth of made-in-Canada defence capabilities and strengthening Canada’s economic and military readiness.
This investment will support the development of an advanced military engineering and testing facility at PAMI, expanding capabilities in off-road and on-road heavy vehicle testing, hot and cold environmental chambers, and robotic and drone testing supported by data analytics. The new capacity will help prairie manufacturers meet domestic and international defence standards while supporting innovation, supply chain resilience and sovereign Canadian capability.
