Forklift Operators

Position: Forklift Operators

Term:

Part-time, January 3, 2018, to approximately January 26, 2018. This position will work a 21-days-on, 7-days-off rotational schedule. Work days will be 8.5 hours long.

Location:

Humboldt, Saskatchewan

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will be working in a food-grade processing environment to unload and load bulk bags, record information, and take measurements.
  • Other tasks involve monitoring processing equipment for failure, general clean up, and handling operations.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be able to work shift work in a fast-paced, physical environment and must have forklift operator experience.
  • PAMI requires that the successful candidates come for one day of training in late December.

Salary and Benefits:

$16.00/hour. Overtime will be paid on hours in excess of 40 hours a week at 1.5 times the hourly rate.

The National Research Council’s (NRC) Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) promotes the development, adaption and/or adoption of technology by innovative Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). PAMI has established an agreement with IRAP to help Canadian SMEs access scientific, technical and business advice, and short-term technical services in support of advancing research and development activities.  Under this agreement, SMEs may access up to $7,500 in funding to assist in product and process development activities, and product commercialization efforts.  This will help SMEs streamline product development, expand innovation capacities, and enhance their ability to compete locally, nationally, and globally. SME’s may be eligible for the project if they are incorporated, for profit, have less than 500 employees, and are located in Canada.  Click here to learn more.

Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist

Position:  Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist

Term:  Full-time Position

Location:  Humboldt, Saskatchewan

Qualifications:

  • A diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from an accredited technical institute.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM program operation is mandatory with SolidWorks and PTC Creo being the preferred programs.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Outlook, Office, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s licence is also required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team of engineers, technologists, tradespersons, and agrologists to successfully deliver projects for the agriculture, industry, mining, and other machinery-based industries.
  • Work with the design team to develop prototype machinery and mechanical component designs, including associated documentation packages of specifications, technical drawings, and operator’s and parts manuals.
  • Knowledge of materials, welding, machining, and hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Carry out project plans and operate equipment in the field, assess performance, and prepare field notes to support project reports.
  • Understand and follow all requirements for safe and efficient work.
  • Communicate with the project team about project problems, solutions, and outcomes.

Administrative Assistant

Position: Administrative Assistant

Term:

Part-time, one-year term position starting in January 2018

Location:

Humboldt, Saskatchewan

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an Administrative Assistant program is essential.
  • Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office 2013, with exceptional knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Excellent typing and proofreading capability, including strong grammar skills and a keen knowledge of sentence structure and punctuation rules, are a necessity.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and complete a large volume of tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail, taking into consideration frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
  • Must have strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a strong team environment is essential.
  • At least five years of office experience is preferred.
  • Farm and/or technical background is useful.
