Since its Applied Bioenergy Centre began operating in (year), PAMI has established itself as a Bioenergy leader in the areas of machinery and “field to factory” processes (biomass logistics) with several research and development projects:
- Biomass crops demonstration
- Pellet line processing/densification of biomass
- Solid fuel combustion feasibility study
- Solid state anaerobic digestion (SSD)
- Field-side torrefaction to improve densification and combustion properties
- Machinery development for bioenergy crops
- Theoretical evaluation of the biomass logistics “field-to-factory” roadmap within Saskatchewan
