For bioenergy to be successful, each link in the chain must be optimized.

Current Projects

Biomass Logistics Roadmap

With bioenergy becoming an emerging industry, it’s necessary at the outset to conduct an overview to determine what necessary biomass and other components are in place or are still needed in the broader environment to make the industry a success. To do this PAMI is preparing a Biomass Logistics Roadmap for Saskatchewan to gather information on agronomic, harvesting, processing, transportation, and marketing requirements for biomass crops and residues.  This information will provide information to help in decision-making for:

  • Farmers in determining the when, where, how and markets for production of biomass crops
  • Industry in determining locations, markets, etc. for conversion of biomass crops.
